Georgetown University



Georgetown University is a private Catholic university founded in 1879. The university has around 54 buildings with a total area of 104 hectares, located near the Potomac River in Washington, DC, USA ..

The University offers a variety of degree programs in various fields of higher education. Among them are about 180 programs in four undergraduate schools, three schools graduate and professional and several specialized institutes. Among the major schools that can be taken by students, it is the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Public Policy McCourt and McDonough School of Business.

In addition to having offices in the United States, the university also has a campus that is located abroad, especially in Italy, Turkey and Qatar. Meanwhile, one of the faculty at the university, the Faculty of Law, gaining international recognition as the best university law. It is not because of this faculty has produced many students are important and very influential in the United States, and the world. Among them are former US President, Bill Clinton, and former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright.

In addition to studying, students can also join the various activities of the organization and sororities that have been provided by the university. For example, like Mask and Bauble Dramatic Society, campus groups include student theater group of the nation's oldest. In addition, the university is also home to the largest states in the country as a whole student owned and operated corporation, Georgetown students, Inc., as well as the oldest financial institution and largest student-run states, Georgetown University Alumni and Student Federal Credit Union.
